Captain Phillip was the leader of the First Fleet of 11 ships that went onto the shore of Botany Bay, New South Wales, January 26th 1788.
After three days passed, Captain Arthur chose an area near Sydney Cove and established a convict settlement.
After the convict settlement site was set up, Captain Arthur Phillip proved himself to be an eager and rigorous commander who distributed in commonsense fashion with the issues he faced in the beginning of settlement.
