Description:
The movement began by President John F. Kennedy on June 6, 1963 when he said they urged equal treatment to everyone. He proposed his idea to Congress this led to influencing in the further act. This law was signed by President Lyndon Johnson on July 2, 1964. The act states “prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, sex or national origin.” Banning discriminatory behavior in public place es such as schools, theaters, parks, restaurants, hotels, etc.
