jan 22, 1825 - Founding of Brisbane, Moreton Bay penal settlement

Description:

The first Europeans found the Brisbane river on November 29th, 1823. After that happened, the Europeans chose a site for Brisbane to establish the settlement. The credit has been given out to several people, including three ex-convicts.

The settlement in Moreton Bay was established in 1824. It's a place of punishment for backsliding convicts.
