apr 30, 1830 - Joseph Jackson Lister
Description:
He discovered a method of combining lenses that improved image resolution by eliminating certain chromatic and spherical aberrations (a characteristic that deviated from the normal type). In 1830, he began grinding his own lenses, developing techniques that he taught to optical lens makers in London. Lister was the first to determine the true form of the reed blood cell in mammalian blood.
