Description:

The Street Transgender Action Revolutionaries or STAR for short is a community-home that helps homeless LGBTQIA+ youth. It was founded by Sylvia Rivera, who was a Latina-American drag queen. She was a very radical gay and transgender activist. She was there During the Stonewall riots. Marsha P. Johnson, a black transgender woman who participated in the Stonewall riots. STAR helped homeless youth by giving them a place to stay if they were kicked out of their homes by their parents because of their identity. The organisation ended in 1973.
