jan 1, 1804 - John Dalton's Theory
Description:
John Dalton's theory was that atoms were these immutable objects that couldn't be moved or destroyed. They were just these tiny balls that made up everything. This model was called the billiard ball model as they were spherical objects that looked like billiard balls. Dalton discovered that the overall pressure of a mixture of gases was equal to the sum of the pressures produced by each individual gas while occupying the same space through his gas experiments. This theory was called the Dalton's Law of Partial Pressures, It demonstrated that energy can't be created or destroyed. He used the understandings and teachings of gas to his advantage.
