Description:

The discovery of the neutron was something that was very important and crucial to answering any questions we had about the atom during this time period. By observing radiation he was able to discover that due to the high penetrating power that was not achievable with the particles known at the time he was able to make the assumption that there had to be something else going on. That something else is the neutron.

He then created his very own atom diagram including a cluster of protons and neutrons in the nucleus with a surrounding set of electrons following the electron clouds.

WIth the introduction of the neutron scientists around the world were instantly able to start pulling apart the atom and start answering many questions about them. This allowed us to help split up the nuclei in very high atomic elements and created a sense of eaze when dealing with them.
