With the help from Saraswatis extended research period, Zephram Cochrane builds a warp engine powered by an updated and improved pre-war Fusion reactor and proves the theory of FTL is sound. This is the same engine that will be placed in the Phoenix.

The improved reactor increases power output by 25%, allowing for the warping of space time.

A battery powered drone, classified C1-21 is launched and goes to warp. Telemetry data received proves the technology is safe for human use.
