This ‘Kitchen Cabinet’ video in an edited format was leaked to TMZ in August 2016 the day prior to Amber Heard’s delayed deposition. The video went viral being shown on all forms of news and social media. Amber Heard denied having leaked it - but where else could it have come from?
For much of the 2020 London Trial NGN took pleasure in repeat playings of the edited version (at this point the only known version). It was only late in the trial during the cross examination of Amber Heard that the full version was played and since then that is the only version remaining in circulation.
During the Virginia Trial Amber Heard continued her denied of having leaked the video and expressed neither knowledge of editing nor acceptance of her smile ending on the longer version.
Johnny Depp rebuttal witness Morgan Tremaine stated that TMZ received the video for the rights holder in the edited form - the implication being that it was sent directly from Amber Heard or her team. During Cross Examination Camille Vasquez played a clip of Amber Heard’s 2016 Deposition where she appears to make a Freudian slip and stops herself admitting having had contact with TMZ a little too late.
For the record - the edited version removed the first few seconds of Amber Heard setting up the camera device. The ending was also cut short to when Johnny Depp discovers he is being filmed and grabs the device - the implication being that a fight followed - however in the full version Johnny simply walks away, calls back ‘Ass’ and Amber Heard smirks into the camera, clearly demonstrating she was not scared of Johnny Depp.
