jan 1, 1046 BC - Battle of Muye
Description:
The Shang Dynasty and the Zhou state were at odds. The fight occurred on Muye, southwest of Yin, Shang Capital. Ji Fa commanded the attack, and success over King Zhou of Shang resulted in the capital's absolute control. The Battle of Muye would mark the establishment of the Zhou Dynasty, similar to how the First and Second Intermediates in Egypt marked the transition of new dynasties.
