aug 31, 1910 - New Nationalism
Description:
Theodore Roosevelt first coins the term "New Nationalism"
New Nationalism was a political philosophy by Theodore Roosevelt that called for strict regulation of industries and social reform to put human rights over property rights.
Opponents of New Nationalism such as Woodrow Wilson argued that New Nationalism was collectivism, which turned off economic liberals, making them in favor of Wilson's New Freedom program which emphasized business competition and limited, small government.
