Russian philosopher who supported communism, and was against capitalism. He wrote the Communist Manifesto. At the congress of the International at The Hague, the only one he ever attended, Marx managed to defeat the Bakuninists, a group that challenged the dominance of the General Council at the congress in Switzerland.
