The March on Washington For Jobs and Freedom was a combination of two marches planned by MLK and A. Phillip Randolph. It was intended to call for fair treatment and equal opportunity for African Americans, as well as advocate for passage of the Civil Rights Act. President Kennedy reluctantly endorsed it. it ended with MLK's "I Have a Dream" speech.
