The Piazza Fontana bombing occured at the headquarters of the National Agricultural Bank in Milan, Italy, and killed 17 people and injured 88. The attack was carried out by the neofascist paramilitary Ordine Nuovo, and can be seen as the beginning of the intense violence and terrorism that would mark the Years of Lead in Italy.
