Description:

One of the many ways that the steam engine impacted the industrial revolution was through the use of the self propelled steam engine. Invented by a British company in 1842, the self propelled steam engine could pull a plow, essentially automating the farming process at some level. This invention both drastically increased farming efficiency and made way for the use of tractors and other machinated farming tools.
