jul 4, 1832 - Bank War of 1832

Description:

Many people, Andrew Jackson, included, claimed that the bank was unconstitutional and was harmful to the American people. As president, Jackson actively worked against the Second Bank of the United States and vetoed the Bank Recharter Bill in 1832, which ultimately led to the Bank War of 1832. Jackson then used his executive power to remove all federal funds from the bank, transferring to the state level.
