Description:

Three American Diplomats to France recieved an attempted bribe from France, however the American public found out and reacted in outrage. This led to an undeclared Quasi-War at sea until everything was patched up by the 1800 treaty of Mortefontaine. Very important to the Federalist Party, who was against French relations, and this provided an ecellent reason.
