Description:

Hamilton's economic plan contained several important points. Firstly it included a national bank for currency and coordination. Secondly it advocated assumption of State Debts to the national debt. Thirdly, increased tariffs to promote American manufacturing and increased taxes (whiskey). Fourth government funded internal improvement to also bolster the economy. Important to note state debts were not assumed natioanlly however a national bank was created on charter until 1811.
