He was a Communist theorist who was a leader in Russia’s October Revolution in 1917, and later a commissar of foreign affairs and war, in the Soviet Union (1917–24). He fought for power against Stalin after Lenin’s death. Lenin won the power so he exiled Trotsky. He was later killed by one of Stalin’s agents.
