jan 1, 1876 - Alexander Graham Bell invents first telephone

Description:

The first telephone, and all wired phones use a very basic idea enhanced with more advanced technology, it's the same as the tin can phone, just enhanced with an electromagnetic wire to transmit the sound waves over far longer distances.

The phone was actually invented by using the patents of a multitude of people, Alexander Graham Bell was just the one to put it all together in just the right way, including using the invention of Elisha Gray which passed electromagnetic vibrations through thin air using the proper magnets
