- advocated that God, Soul, and Matter are distinct; denouncing Maya and Moksh concept, Hindu Orthodoxy, caste rigidities, untouchability
- After his death DAV College was opened in Lahore in 1886
- After the death of Sarawati, split into the #College Party: which wanted modern western education led by Lala Hansraj, Lala Lajpat Rai
# Mahatma Party: wanted Gurukul, teaching of Vedas led by Lala Munshi Ram(Swami Shraddhanand)
The college party retained control over DAV School and College
