jul 2, 2014 - Eastern Coalition is formed.

Description:

Having completed his Great Pilgrimage around the Indian Subcontinent; the political leaders and laypeople unify to form a new political region. The Eastern Coalition (as it is later called,) is formed in secret between the leaders of India, Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh. While the laypeople form "The Pilgrimage" which is based on the ideals of the Buddha reincarnated through Sumedha. The move is seen as benevolent by the UN, relieved after decades of conflict in those regions.

The Eastern Coalition is formed as a deterrent to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization and Chinese aggression. The Monastery and local town of Matepani Gumba, Nepal becomes Sumedha stronghold, while Rajgir, India becomes the Coalition Capital and Science and Arts hub.

Sumedha quickly sets out to correct Human rights issues throughout the Coalition held areas. His strict but simple policies improved the lives of the under-represented citizens and nullified endemic greed so as to start a new system based on mutual respect for life and freedoms in all their shades. A-B's were placed in positions of council to Coalition States Leaders, with personal agreements to the "Dispankara" that the Councilors advice will be heeded with the utmost respect and humility.
Citizens were given the option of selling their unneeded "luxury" items, this included anything in abundance, but especially electronics and other petrol based items. The "Governors" were ordered to allow "Logical Freedoms", Sumedha did not want to ostracize the overachievers in his society, but teach them about sustainable resource and social practices.

By the end of the 2nd renaissance, the Econ Spanned all of Asia except the modified Russian Federation, the Middle east, and Africa except the neutral countries.
