Description:

The Reign of Terror was a period of time from September 5th 1793- July 2th,1794. The terror was designed to fight the enemies of the revolution. Watch communities around the nation were encouraged to arrest anyone suspected. The promises of the Rights of Man were totally forgotten during this time. Robespierre was the most powerful man during the Reign of Terror. Over 200,000 people were arrested and 17,000 were sentenced to death.
