Johnny Depp famously made his teeth look all brown and piratey to play Captain Jack Sparrow but now it seems he needs no makeup.

The former Hollywood heart-throb looks like he's been stranded on Treasure Island without a dentist in these latest pictures.

And like the swashbuckling buckaneer he plays, Johnny, 52 has some gold pieces of eight in his kisser.

He also appears to have raided the wardrobe of his hero Keith Richards as he's wearing multiple ear rings and chains.

Johnny was appearing at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival and honoured as Maltin Modern Master.
