The media started to notice and comment upon a sudden and rapid change in Johnny Depp’s appearance. They blamed his age at 52 although at 50 they were united in how very well Johnny looked for his age. Whilst some mention drinkingone speculated why or what had caused the sudden change nor did they notice the bruises and scratches or frequent downcast demeanour. They didn’t think it odd that a normally very private A-List Celebrity had been catapulted into a very regular media spotlight due the antics and PR machine of his wife - when she didn’t provide a good story with a wedding or dog smuggling she could be counted on to say the wrong thing or grab Johnny for a red carpet kiss. All of which was a massive shift in how Johnny Depp had presented himself to the world.
Meanwhile Amber Heard basked in Johnny Depp’s limelight insisting that he attend her premieres for The Danish Girl - a film in which she barely had 5 minutes screen time as her big baller scenes were cut from the final edit. Dragging Johnny Depp was contrary to requests from both film studios yet she persisted and effectively stole all the attention and media headlines from her co-stars to promote herself. Dressed in an expensive wardrobe selected by a dedicated stylist, her own personal hair and make-up people, full time travelling personal assistants and friends that travelled with her - all on Johnny Depp’s expense.

Johnny Depp recently stepped out in Venice with wife Amber Heard, and fans are wondering what the heck happened to the once-hunky actor.
The actor’s face, chiseled just a few months ago, had swelled into a puffy oval, and the rest of his body looked as if it had gotten just as round.
Depp, 52, who will next appear in “Black Mass,” is evidently taking the “Mass” part of the title literally.
His hair appeared greasier than usual, and topping off his look, one of his teeth was red for some mysterious reason. A stain? A stray piece of cranberry? Some sort of pirate thing? We have no idea.
Depp has been dogged by rumors of heavy drinking. Last year, he stumbled and slurred his way through a speech at the Hollywood Film Awards.
Filming for “Pirates of the Caribbean 5” was put on hold last spring as studio executives reportedly forced Depp to deal with his drinking. The actor’s reps, however, insisted their client simply took a break from the production to seek treatment for an injured hand. Before last year, Depp had claimed to have been sober for 18 months.
According to another report, his ex, Vanessa Paradis, blames new wife Heard, 29, for a relapse.
“Vanessa’s convinced Amber’s not mature or tough enough to deal with Johnny’s drinking,” an insider told the National Enquirer.
Here’s hoping Depp gets back into fighting form — at least in time for the inevitable “Pirates 6.”
