-all colonies except Georgia sent delegates
-radicals proposed independence
-purpose was to address American grievances and set a proper relationship between the royal gov't. and the colonial gov't.
-came up with a list of laws they wanted repealed
-agreed to impose a boycott of British goods and enforce it with committees of observation from the Continental Association
-created a limited number of parameters which they considered justified for the British Parliament to interfere
-major step towards independence
-committees expanded their powers and revolution was already in the minds of the colonists
