Description:

John Brown gathered 20 men to take over an arsenal at Harpers Ferry VA. He planned to give slaves weapons to start a slave revolution. Instead, the slaves didn’t join him.
The reactions of the two regions brought the north and south closer to civil war because the north didn’t think it was a big deal and the south was worried that someone else might try to start a revolution.
