Description:
Martin Luther King Jr. was shot on April 4, 1968, at 6pm at the Lorraine Motel in Memphis, California. The Nobel Peace Prize laureate died in the St. Joseph's Hospital only one hour later.
Two month later, James Earl Ray, a fugitive from the Missouri State Penitentiary was arrested in London. He pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 99 years in prison where he died in 1998.
