Description:

On August 6th a B-49 bomber named Enola Gay released the atomic bomb, Little Boy, over Hiroshima, a Japanese Military center. The city was completely leveled as if a city never existed. Japanese leader still hesitated to surrender after the bombing.
Significance - This was the first atomic bomb ever used in warfare, and had lasting impacts on the cities for years after.
