Description:
The second of the two battles that drove the French out of the "low countries"-- Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg. The Allies caught the French army by surprise while it was trying to put the town of Oudenaarde under siege, surrounded them, and captured and killed many of their soldiers.
