Description:

As the the Holy Roman Emperor had been promised Spain for his son, he soon declared war. By moving troops into the Netherlands, and granting French merchants exclusive trading rights with Spain, King Louis angered the Dutch and English. They were also angered by his failure to promise that his grandson would not inherit the French empire as well.
