Johnny Depp has suffered a major loss ahead of his $100million defamation trial against ex-wife Amber Heard after a judge ruled she can argue to a jury that she should be protected from the lawsuit.Virginia 19th Judicial Circuit Judge Penney Azcarate ruled against Depp on Thursday, saying Heard's editorial deals with a matter of public interest.
Azcarate's ruling does not mean Heard has immunity for what she wrote, but simply that she can make that argument to a jury as part of her defense.
