Napoleon Bonaparte was the general of the french army. He used his military strategies to help him accomplish victories over his enemies. He was powerful enough to overthrow the directory. The Directory was a committee which was governing France. On November 9, 1799 Napoleon Bonaparte overthrew the Directory in the Coup of 18 and he replaced by the French Consulate.Added to timeline:
