On October 6th, 1789, a crowd of women marched to the Palace of Versailles demanding lower bread prices. King Louis XIV demanded that his guard fire upon the crowd but they refused. At the end King Louis was dragged by the crowd of women to Paris so he could not escape to America.Added to timeline:
