Description:

The 'Boxer Protocol' as it is usually abbreviated, was a treaty signed by China and the Eight Nation alliance, which saw China paying money to each nation according to much deaths it had inflicted. The rebellion was carried out by a group independent of the government, but the reason China had to pa was because the Empress decided to lend money to the rebels in the hope they could fight the foreigners away. The rebels utterly lost and the Empress stepped down and fled.
