Description:
In 1843 Charles Goodyear accidentally invented vulcanized rubber which was waterproof, flexible, resistant to heat and cold, had a low odor, was an insulator and didn't break as easy as older rubbers. And in 1898 a rubber company named themselves after Goodyear but have no affiliation with him or his family.
