Description:
Perpetua was a new convert, a catechumen, and a mother with an infant son. Felicitas was her attendant slave and was 8 months pregnant. Emperor Severus had ordered violence be directed toward new converts to dissuade others from joining, and as such they are finally set to be put to death by the sword- Perpetua guides the sword of the executioner to her own neck.
