BY ROBERTA CECCHI, COSMOPOLITAN ITALIA
Seeing Johnny Depp as the guest in the first episode of C'è Posta Per Te (aired yesterday, Saturday, January 11, 2020) had a certain effect on us, as it made us concretely and definitively understand that yes, Johnny has returned to be the one he used to be, a cool at the age of 56 and not the somewhat lost man we had seen in the last appearances.
Johnny Depp guest at C'è Posta Per Te
The presence of the actor started with 'il botto' the program of Maria De Filippi who, always, has accustomed your viewers to attend a real parade of stars worthy of the Oscar night. In these 23 editions of the Channel 5 people show, in fact, some of the most beloved Hollywood stars of Hollywood passed through the studios, starting with Julia Roberts, Sharon Stone and Nicole Kidman, and then arriving at Bradley Cooper, Jude Law, Chris Hemsworth, Orlando Bloom and, last but not least, Johnny Depp. Given the names, it certainly can't be said that Maria doesn't have good taste in men, don't you think?
The actor playing the beloved Jack Sparrow of the saga of The Pirates of the Caribbean appeared in the studio of C'è Posta Per Te not only very elegant, but also in a beautiful form, suggesting that the torments due to the conflicting relationship with his ex-wife Amber Heard are now a distant memory, just like his embolsed face and tired air. In fact, today's Johnny Depp is of such a devastating beauty that it can be considered an evergreen sex symbol, 'ageless' and 'for all tastes', which he cannot help but like, just like the various Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio, splendid and wonderful at 20 years old as well as at 50 (or so): who could resist in front of their charm?
The Johnny Depp who appeared in C'è Posta Per Te is certainly not the restless and turbulent man that gossip newspapers have often told us in recent months, but a laid-in person, very sweet and extremely generous. Present in the studio as a 'gift', as De Filippi likes to say, for the brothers Emanuele and Rosalba (two boys who lost their father in January 2019 due to a fatal accident at work), the Hollywood actor did not limit himself to dispensing hugs and words of sincere affection to the unfortunate protagonists of the story, also giving them a scholarship, a professional course for hairdresser and some of his 'lucky' bracelets: in short, a real gentleman with a golden heart this Johnny, there is nothing to say.
With a character of the caliber of Johnny Depp in front, that fox of Maria could not miss the opportunity to discover something more about her private life, showing us an unexpected and 'human' side of the American actor. Particularly in the mood for revelations, the 56-year-old (who could not count on the famous interpreter Olga Fernando, whose absence panicked the world of the web) thus told of his passion for skulls “They have always had a meaning for me. It's a way to remind me that now is the time to live. You don't have to worry about tomorrow. We're here and we're thinking about it,” and he talked about his visceral love for music: “I can't travel without a guitar. I started playing it when I was 12 years old, by ear, listening to music. It was one of the passing moments in my life. The guitar was my first love, it saved my life.”
Of course, he couldn't miss a question two of Johnny's children and specifically about daughter Lily-Rose Depp: “When she wanted to play, I was with her. I experimented with characters with her, I made the voices, I started talking like Willy Wonka,” Depp revealed referring to his quirky as impeccable interpretation of the famous 'chocolate maker' in the film Charlie And The Chocolate Factory. Okay, how can I not love him?
