Description:
The Soviet Premier, Leonid Breshnev, and the United States President, Nixon, decided on a policy of cooperation rather than competition. To showcase this, a joint mission, Apollo Soyuz, was attempted. This involved and American Apollo spacecraft docking with a Soviet Soyuz spacecraft. This marked the official end to the vigorous Space Race.
