Description:

The Soviets launched Salyut 1, which was the first ever space station. However, upon re-entry, the original crew (Georgi Bobroeolski, Vladislav Volkov, and Victor Patsavev) all die. Not only did the Soviets have the first space station, but also the first and only deaths in space.
