Correct - I did not speak with Amber’s friends about it - that would have been out of character and something I would have recall on. The only thing that would have been said was something like asking how she was doing.

That said? I have been racking my brain this past week trying to recall what were the times like when I saw her immediately after the breakup, and in all honesty I can’t say 100% for certain that it wasn’t brought up.
I’m inclined to think she had mentioned it because given the circumstances it would have (I think) been normal to do so
it also just wouldn’t have been that memorable to me at the time as it was common knowledge their relationship was difficult, and because I hadn’t noticed any signs of physical abuse.
