Description:
On Feb 3 1987, Carleton hosted the concert "Tunnel Music", which was performed live in the tunnels and featured two pieces composed specifically for the event. During the first half, sound was piped to the Arena Theater where the audience sat and listened. During the second half, the audience was invited to walk the tunnels and listen to five student groups playing in different locations. The unique acoustics and interactivity made this performance a hit.Today, the tunnels house various musical quotes and drawings of sheet music.
