Description:
In 1924, labour directly supported the workers in mining industries by backing for an agreement to protect miner's wages. However in June 1925, declaration from the mine owners stated that wages would be cut as the coal industry was sliding and cost of production was increasing. The miner's national union refused bitterly. When the TUC became involved, they planned a strike on 31st of July, also known as Red Friday.
