22h 30min, jun 25, 1994 y - Kim Campbell, First Female prime Minister

Description:

1993. The Progressive Conservatives and Brian Mulroney had fallen to low levels in the polls. Brian Mulroney decided to step down, due to realizing that he can’t possibly win another mandate.
Many viewed Campbell as a charismatic leader who (maybe) can recreate the momentum of Trudeaumania and get the nations support as the first Prime Minister.
Her lead in the polls began to spiral down. Due to inexperience and uncoordinated Conservative campaign strategy.
Campbell had resigned shortly after the election and Jean Charest took over as leader of the 2 seat Conservatives. She returned in Harvard University to teach Political Science. She has remained very active in many different areas and had taken pride in her work for the advance of women’s opportunities in many different arenas.
