Description:

The Lindisfarne raid was a Viking assault in Lindisfarne also known as the Holy Island in the year 793. This raid was so significant because it was the first time the Vikings had raided a religious site; the Vikings killed or capture all the monks on Holy Island. They did this because they wanted all the treasures on Holy Island for themselves.
