Japan officially joins the Axis powers, creating a triumvirate with Italy and Germany. The Japanese success against China is continuing, albeit at a slower rate than before. Britain, desperate for allies, joins forces with China to form the Allied powers, which consists of Britain and their colonies, China, The Danish government in exile, and The Dutch government in exile, who is currently in Indonesia. The British forces in India begin mobilizing to help stop the Japanese push into China. The Australian and New Zealand forces meanwhile, begin an island hopping campaign against Japan.
