jun 4, 1938 - Walt's Field Day
Description:
Meant to celebrate the success of Snow White, Walt threw a party for his employees at the Norconian Resort. There were numerous activities during the day. Walt and Lillian attended as well.
There were open bars and even Walt became a bit tipsy. He then gave a speech where his employees were hoping he would announce bonuses for them. When the announcement never came, the employees realized that this party WAS the bonus, so they started to party it up.
By midnight, the party had gone overboard as people were getting pushed into pools, falling off balconies and horses were being ridden into the front lobby. Walt and Lillian left before the hijinks began, but Walt learned of what happened the next morning. Nobody got in trouble, but Walt would never speak of the event, nor would he ever host one again.
