jan 1, 1355 BC - Birth of Moses

Description:

Considered as one of the biggest figures in Jewish history, Moses, whose name means "to be born" in Egyptian, has been connected with Noah due to several similarities in the two narratives. The Hebrew word for the papyrus boat, in which Moses survived Pharaoh's attempt to kill Jewish boys, occurs one other time in the Bible for Noah's ark. Moses' role as the savior of Israel is thus considered a parallel with Noah's.
