jan 1, 1964 - Moog Synthesizer
Description:
The Moog Synthesizer was invented in 1964 by Robert Moog. It was the first monophonic voltage-controlled oscillator machine, or the first electronic instrument. It was a very large machine that fed sound waves through oscillators and tubes several times in order to produce the warm and buzzy electronic sounds that synthesizers are known for. The Moog Synthesizer would start what would be known as the Early Age of Synthesizers and enabled electronic music to begin developing. Interestingly, the original design of the Moog Synthesizer is still used to this day to produce electronic music.
