Description:
The fall of the roman empire was evident hundreds of years before the historic events of 476 AD. As early as 27 BC civil wars were fought and Rome's empire became to large to control. It government became increasingly corrupt and its own people began to lose faith in their own country. A Germanic prince named Odovacar lead his army of "barbarians" and defeated the roman emperor Romulus Augustus in the final defeat to end Rome's 1000 year rule over Europe.
